How is the ADOS-2 assessment conducted in adults?
The assessment takes place in the form of live interaction with a specialist.
It looks like a structured conversation and performing tasks that help assess:
- the ability to maintain a dialogue
- understanding of social cues
- flexibility of thinking
- features of emotional responding
Important:
- this is not an intelligence or knowledge test
- there are no “right” or “wrong” answers
- natural behavior during interaction is assessed
ADOS-2 modules for adults
A separate module is used for adults, which takes into account:
- speech level
- life experience
- social adaptation
Duration of the assessment
- from 60 minutes — the ADOS-2 administration
- additional time — analysis of results and report preparation
As part of a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, the visit may take longer.
